The Cultural District costs 4,000,000 credits and takes one turn to construct. This is also where embassies will go if other factions request to build them on Republic-controlled planets. Refer to the Embassy mechanics section for details.

The Civil Orbital Construction Permit costs 8,000,000 credits and takes two turns to construct. It permits the construction of the following civilian orbital structures. There is no limit to the amount of structures one can build in space, however, they are exposed to fleet action and do not contribute to planetary holding in any way.

The Research District costs 6,000,000 credits and takes one turn to construct. It permits the construction of the Research Centre, which generates Research Points used to upgrade the tech level of any district on any planet the faction controls.
The Research District itself is exempt from the tech-tier system. It has no tech levels, and Research Centres can be constructed on any controlled planet regardless of that planet's tech level in other districts.

The Fabrication District costs 18,000,000 credits and takes two turns to construct. It permits the construction of hyperdrives.

The Sector Defence Bureau District costs 30,000,000 credits and takes three turns to construct. It is the Senate-controlled parallel to the Military Administration District.
A faction may construct any combination of modules within a district, with all modules counting as individual buildings under the planet's Diplomacy soft-cap. Multiple SBR districts may be constructed on a single planet if needed. Construction requires the Chancellor's authorisation.

Transformation Projects are major construction undertakings that fundamentally reshape strategic geography. They are not built within a normal district; each is a unique megaproject requiring significant pre-requisites, faction-level coordination, and years of in-game time to complete.
