Name: Standard Jedi Knight

Rank: Jedi Knight

Tier: Low 2

Background: Jedi Knight was a rank within the Jedi Order, referring to a Jedi Padawan who had completed their training and passed the Jedi Trials to become a full member of the Order. In the hierarchy of the Order, a Jedi Knight was lower than a Jedi Master and needed to prove themselves worthy of the higher rank. Unlike those who had that higher rank, Jedi Knights were unable to pursue their studies on their own terms. Master Porter Engle believed that any Jedi worthy of the title of knight put time into planning unarmed defence in case they lost their lightsaber.

Jedi Knights, like the Order they served, were guardians of peace and justice in the Galactic Republic, and served in key military command roles during the Clone Wars as per the regulations of the Ruusan Reformation. However, after the slaughter of the Day of Chaos, the Russan Reformation was mostly unwritten in terms of regulations on the Jedi, and many Jedi Knights made the conscious choice to fight in the Clone War, as opposed to enlistment.

Weaknesses: Jedi Knights are well-trained, and do not give up no matter what. However, the most exploitable things about them are their morals. If one could put a Knight in a position that would force them to violate the Jedi Code, it is likely they will back off; giving the aggressor the perfect time to strike. Somehow removing the Knight’s lightsaber would be highly beneficial, removing their main form of offence and defence; and leaving them open. Finally, exploiting the Knight’s padawan if they have one is a surefire way to lower their combat threat.
