Background: Atris was a Human female who served as a Jedi historian, and later as a Jedi Master and Jedi Council member during the Mandalorian Wars and the Jedi Civil War. She was deeply committed to the Order and was a fierce adherent of the Jedi Code. But Atris' faith in the righteousness of the Jedi wavered when her personal hero, Meetra Surik, turned her back on the Council to join rogue Knights Revan and Malak and their faction of Jedi during the Mandalorian Wars. Atris chose not to go to war, but this decision left her bitter and conflicted.
When Surik returned to face the Council's judgment after the devastating events of the Battle of Malachor V, Atris was the first to condemn her, suggesting that she had fallen to the dark side just as Revan had. Over time, Atris grew to hate Surik for complicating her black-and-white view of the Jedi, the Sith, and the Force.
It was not long after this that Atris was taken to the Universe of Prophecy, arriving on Tython. Here she trained under Yoda for the better part of a year, enhancing her skills and learning to restore her view of both the Force and the Jedi. Now ready and in peace with her actions, Atris took the role of the Director of Special Forces for the Republic military; her keen mind and excellent memory going to critical use in reorganising the entire division.

Weaknesses: Atris prefers physical combat rather than using the Force at a distance, having trained under Master Yoda for a year in order to settle into the new time. She prefers to get up close in a fight, feeling more in control that way as opposed to gaining distance. As such, one can anticipate her CQC preference, and lay traps and prepare strategies that best prepare for such an assault. Or one can strike her from a distance, in the hopes her movement to close the distance can be interrupted with a clean attack. Finally, Atris cares greatly for the men under her charge, willing to lay down her life for them in a heartbeat. As such, one could possibly manipulate a combat scenario where she believes she must sacrifice herself, and she possibly will end up removing the need to fight her entirely.
