Name: The Crimson Forger

Rank: Renowned Gladiator

Tier: Low 2

Background: Crimson Forger is a sentient combat walker that transitioned into a military-class war machine after its recruitment into Glitch. Modeled after the lokath wardroids who were active thousands of years ago, Crimson Forger was born from a Junkie hearing tales of droid gods and wanting to recreate one to serve as a bodyguard to protect over his loot. The Crimson Forger originates from Lotho Minor, its birth took place inside the fragment of a greedy junkie mind, who was in need of security to protect his loot from pirates and scavengers but in reality, he just wanted a pet to cope with his loneliness. Upon pondering the orb for several days he came up with the idea of creating a Samurai Archetype to scare away intruders and implement parts he stole from factions to give it an advantage over opposing droids. The Junkier rushed the design in order to gain protection as quickly as possible and used whatever materials were available to him to create Crimson Forger. The finished product led to the Junkie compensating for lack of funding and energy sources with highly complex oil mechanisms. The very first prototype of the Crimson Forger was just a very shaky 11 meter walker created from pistons protected by thin Durasteel sheets. However the walker also had a prototype anti tank electro-sword, a high quality jetpack with stabilizing wings, and combat programming rumoured to be from Jedi training droids. The Crimson Forger was a force to be reckoned with despite its primitive weaknesses.

Eventually the Junkie grew old and decided to sell the droid to a scavenger who sold it to a vendor seller on Coruscant which led it into the hands of a contestant participating in a gladiator arena with the droid. The Crimson Forger did decent for its first time but was defeated once it started fighting proper gladiator droids designed for killing. This led to the events of its first upgrade: now outfitted with better targeting systems, schematics, and motors. The upgrade was a success, allowing Crimson Forger to win its first “Droid vs Droid” cage tournament in 30 BBY. As the Clone Wars began, funding for gladiator arena’s went down, which led into a Great Depression for a majority of gladiator droid owners. The Owner was forced to sell the Crimson Forger once again and this time, it was sent to a “proper” droid organization. The Droid was given to a henchman of the CIS who traded it to Rattatak to participate in The Cauldron. This led to the droid constantly fighting experimental gladiator droids and new models of battle droids being pumped out by the CIS. Included in these battles were: experimental enhanced droidekas, rogue magnaguards, early models of jedi hunter droids and early prototypes of the B3.

The Crimson Forger was essentially used as a test dummy but somehow miraculously survived these encounters which otherwise would kill an average gladiator droid, this meant it can continue benefiting the CIS by generating money and working as a test dummy for new experiments. During its time on Rattatak, Crimson Forger was heavily ridiculed by Dark Acolytes from time-to-time and given terrible treatment by the underpaid maintenance team. Eventually the walker got tired of the abuse and reached its tipping point, breaking its coding and achieving sentience. Crimson Forger has won so many tournaments and wagers, yet had no trophies to show for it. The walker realized it was never going to see a trophy in the light of day when it overheard Count Dooku talking about selling the droid to some Pyke’s for labor on Kessel and decided to finally escape the prison planet. Crimson Forger convinced a maintenance engineer to remove a restraining bolt, promising to bring the slave with him once he gets out of the droid prison. But it was a lie, Crimson Forger killed the poor guy and fought its way to the main lobby where it contacted the Glitch, a pro-droid group building an army for a revolution. The Glitch arrived and saved Crimson Forger from its torment, in return the droid pledged its loyalty to Darth Novator and its obligation to perform missions for the syndicate. Crimson Forger was upgraded one last time, this time with long range weaponry, better armour, and a finalized design to its electro-sword.

Speed: High D Visibility | High E Combat Speed | High G Movement Speed (Not Flight)

Abilities: Superhuman Strength and Durability. Mastery in Flight. Highly Proficient in Programmed Hand-to-Hand Combat and Programmed Sabre Combat. Proficient in Slicing.

Equipment: Mastery in Arm-Mounted Laser Cannon; Giant Electro-Sword; High Boost Engines; Mobility Jets and S-Foils; Extremely Basic Self-Repair Systems; 360 Targeting Sensor System

Weaknesses: The Crimson Forger, despite its alleged sentience, still contains droid programming and protocols; and thus can be easily tricked in a similar manner to a droid. Furthermore, there seems to be a glitch in its programming where the mention of its creator’s name is brought up, causing it to be easily manipulated or subverted. Once the S-Coils of the droid are damaged, its turning radius is essentially shot and it can be easily avoided on the curve. If its Mobility Jets are damaged, it will be unable to perform any optimised form of dodging, making it an extremely easy target due to its size. When slicing, Crimson Forger does so through unoptimized means via a subroutine AI program, which can be overwhelmed by any competent droid or AI. If Crimson Forger’s hidden sensors are damaged, then it will be hindered to a vast degree; getting worse with each loss. Though Crimson Forger isn’t the most tanky for robots of its size, it still is of large size, and thus an abundance of firepower should be used as a precaution.
