Name: The Knight with No Name
Name: The Knight with No Name
Rank: Jedi Knight
Tier: High 2
Background: Born a human male on an unimportant planet in the Mid Rim, he was trained by the Jedi Order from a very young age.
Ever since he could read, he had been fascinated by the culture and folklore of the people around him, those of Coruscant included. Living at the Temple and spending his days in the Library poring over anthropology and mythology books, he grew increasingly impatient to learn and experience first-hand just how different life could be outside of the Order. He often wondered how intricate and surprising a culture could grow when a trillion people partook in it.
Two years after reaching the rank of Padawan, he convinced three of his friends to sneak out of the Temple at night (without their Masters, of course) to enjoy Coruscant's vibrant nightlife, and it quickly became a habit. Although they never revealed themselves as Jedi to outsiders, they became small-time celebrities in the Coruscant night scene, in part because they were not especially careful about how they employed the tricks they had learned with the Force. It was during one of these unsanctioned expeditions that he discovered both his love for ethnic cuisine and his body's vulnerability to alcohol. From then on, he practiced detoxifying drinks through the Force, as he still wanted to explore the myriad beverages the Galaxy produced (which often played an important role in their respective societies), later learning to apply this skill to other substances as well.
Rumour of their exploits inevitably reached the Temple, and combined with the fact that some of them were out of shape a few too many mornings, their masters quickly pieced together what was happening. Their "expeditions" were promptly shut down, but given the good-willed nature of the outings and the fact that they had not violated the Tenets of the Order, their careers were not damaged in the long run. Aside, that is, from being picked on for a couple of months by Padawans and Masters alike.
As time went by, he retained his interest in culture and folklore, integrating it into his studies of the Force and of the Galaxy. In particular, he focused on the attitudes and misconceptions common folk held about the Order, and on the various figures and organisations that pursued the same mission the Jedi did as protectors of the people, liberators of the oppressed, and upholders of justice. He studied the myths surrounding such figures and the hopes people invested in them, and found in those stories the strength and motivation to uphold the very ideals the Jedi preached.
After his graduation to Knight, he put his studies into practice in the Outer Rim, assuming the identity of a drifting justice-dealer and drawing heavily on the many myths and folk tales about wayfaring protectors of the people that were so common in every corner of the Galaxy. During his travels, he scoured the planets he visited for distinctive dishes, medicinal arts and, when he was most fortunate, tales and myths to add to his collection and to inspire him on the road. He studied everything he gathered and wove it into the character he projected, trying to give life and meaning to the tales people believed in, to rekindle hope in the hearts of far more people than he could otherwise reach, walking their planets as living confirmation that good does, in the end, win.
Just like in the old tales.

The Knight is far weaker at close-quarters than he is at range, and this is the recommended form of engagement. He also lacks significant capabilities in the Force, and beyond Force Barrier, has no real way to contest contemporaries in a Force-based combat encounter.
