Name: HK-55

Rank: Assassin Droid

Tier: Low 1

Background: HK-55 was a Hunter-Killer series assassin droid that served the Sith Lord Lana Beniko as a bodyguard during her own personal crusades as well as during the Sith Empires subjugation of the galaxy. After his destruction at the battle of Asylum at the hands of Arcann Tirall and subsequent reconstruction, he served the so called Outlander, Sashan Labbel. Millenia later, he chose to work alongside HK-47 and his squad of Hunter Killer units

The droid grew very attached to both Lana and Sashan throughout all the time they spent together. He stayed with them for a solid number of years, where he even began to display kindness and empathy the likes of which he had thought so frivolous and weak only a few years prior. After the death of Lana Beniko, which the droid was witness to, HK-55's personality matrix did what could only be described as cracking. He no longer took orders from Sashan, and despite holding a great deal of respect for her, he went haywire from the Eternal Alliance to enact his twisted revenge.

After those responsible for Lana's death were wiped from the galaxy, the droid drifted for millennia, hiring himself out as a bounty hunter and assassin in service to those who were willing to pay for it. Jobs became less and less frequent, and for a time, 55 lived in complete isolation. This came to an end when he was contacted by HK-47 and his master, Revan. The two offered 55 an upgrade to modern technology and the ability to assist in designing the next generation of Hunter-Killer units in exchange for his assistance with the HK squad. He accepted, though reiterated the fact he was not Revan's servant. They were merely working together.

Partaking in a great many missions with HK-47 and the new generation of HK's, such as Northstar and Naz, as well as one formerly defunct HK-51 known as Blaze and Later Cinder. These missions would lead him to reunite with the alternate version of his dead master, as well as meeting Axis. He would work alongside them, feeling just how he had before Lana had died. His disposition shifted, so much so he allowed himself to begin growing closer to those he was working alongside. Notably working well with General Grievous and developing a strange bond with a child the squad had picked up, Alveus.

Weaknesses: HK-55 prefers close-range combat, so it is better to engage the droid at range, though being at range makes it harder to get past his other technology. EMP’s should work extremely well against HK-55, unless he activates his absorption matrix in time. 55 will protect those he is assigned to without question, especially at the cost of his own safety, which could be manipulated by a combatant. Every 15 actions, HK-55 needs to roll a chance due to his subroutines getting suppressed, which can be found here. In the event this works against his favour, 55 will be left EXTREMELY open to attack. In the event A.L.I.C.E’s limitation code is suppressed, HK-55 will become extremely competent for 15 actions, before suffering a brief 3-turn shutdown afterwards. The absorption matrix, while powerful, relies on 55’s reaction time. So if he is attacked by an attack too fast or that he doesn’t see coming, he may not activate it in time and take the full brunt of the attack. 55 cannot move or even speak while using the absorption matrix, essentially becoming a turtle shell. And while all attacks will likely be useless while in this state, nor can 55 be hit (though he can be physically lifted, though not struck). The absorption matrix itself acts three inches above the surface of 55's outer shell, thus any attacks within 3 inches of 55's body prior to the matrix being activated will still strike true. The BTC grenades will remove the Force from any Force User of any strength (bar those with Force-based Reality Warping who react in time or Force concepts) within a 5 meter radius. However, when the Force User leaves the radius, they will experience a +1 increase to all their abilities, plus a +1 tier increase to their speed for 1 action.
