Name: Galek Wren

Rank: Syndicate Corporal

Tier: Middle 3

Background: Galek was born into Clan Wren on the planet Krownest in 41 BBY and given a standard upbringing until the age of seven, when his mother was killed in battle. After this his father raised and trained Galek himself, teaching him to be a warrior, though Galek was reluctant to learn. He grew alongside his closest friend, Jokka, and when they were both fourteen years old they joined their first raid. During the fighting Jokka was killed in an explosion that almost took Galek's life as well. He was forced to put this trauma behind him and continue with his training, but the guilt of not saving his friend weighs on him still.

Leaving Krownest behind, Galek joined the Galactic Syndicate Military on Mandalore, where he was quickly promoted to Corporal for his efforts in freeing Gargon from gang control. He fought alongside several other Mandalorians to restore the planet's resources, which included a flourishing spice trade and phobium metal mines, to Mandalorian ownership. He also aided in the defense of a farmstead that was used as a base of operations for locals fighting against the gangs, and was honored as a hero by the inhabitants while managing to slip under the radar of the gangs themselves, unlike his companions. Once control over the planet was returned to Mandalore and the city Galek primarily operated turned over to Clan Cabur, he left the planet.

Back on Mandalore Galek took several leisure before receiving a mission from Evaar'la Mereel. He was to set up communications systems in the other regions of the planet to enable communication between them. He was able to set up a link in Tokursh with little issue, but the desert region of Nadala posed a greater challenge. The sandy dunes were not stable enough foundation for the communication system, and there were no suitable Mandalorian settlements in the area to place it. Galek worked with a group of desert scrappers to free an old settlement from the control of a raiding group and built the communication system there.

Weaknesses: Galek is highly independent and struggles to take orders. If he feels an order is wrong, then he will disregard it entirely. A disconnect with his high command could be manipulated, either through manipulating the high command to act in a particular way, or manipulating the transmissions themselves. This could lead to mistakes on his part, or even acting in the enemy’s favour. Manipulating his close friends into poking Galek’s insecurities would have a devastating effect on his psyche. Galek takes time to tune the world out when he is comfortable, which is an opportune moment to strike, eliminating him easily.
