Background: Bastila Shan was a Human female member of the Jedi Order during the Jedi Civil War. Born on the planet Talravin to Helena Shan and a treasure hunter, her mother gave Bastila up to the Jedi Order, believing that their lifestyle of travel and exertions were not suitable for her daughter. Bastila was a venerated and respected Jedi Padawan, who because of these accolades and her ability of Battle Meditation; brash, impulsive, and somewhat overconfident were words to describe her. Respecting her elders and teachers, Bastila looks up to the Jedi and the Code.

Bastila entered the Clone Wars shortly after Malak had been defeated aboard the Star Forge; waking up on a battlefield surrounded by technology more advanced than what she'd been used to. Shan eventually found herself back at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Once more, she had been given the rank of Jedi Padawan under Knight Satele Shan. This time however, Bastila would be more rigid in the code and set on a course to prove herself to the Order. Though rediscovering to walk on the path of the Light would prove challenging for Bastila's early life among the new era of Jedi, frequently exhibiting outbursts of annoyance or anger, and sometimes disregarded the very idea that romantic relationships should be discouraged among the Jedi.

Shan wouldn't see many battles during the Clones Wars, opting to reform as a servant to the will of the Force before finally seeing the heat of warfare.

Weaknesses: Thinks she is unstoppable in many cases, her arrogance gets the best of her at most moments, although this is very much not the case. Bastila struggles with her emotions and is extremely vulnerable to Dun Moch. A couple of well-placed words will make her unbalanced, and thus easy pickings in a fight.
