Name: HK-52 "Northstar"

Rank: Assassin Droid

Tier: Middle 2

Background: HK-52 is an HK-series assassin droid and a member of Crusader Defense and the Key Team. He is perhaps the most passive of the HK droids and by far the most insecure due to his experiences being helpless against powerful foes such as HK-01 and Abeloth and compounded by the fact that he is constantly surrounded some of the strongest fighters in the known galaxy. He is extremely loyal to his friends and this fact combined with his feelings of inferiority make him very likely to sacrifice himself to help others in an attempt to prove, both to those around him and himself, that he is not worthless.

He was constructed on the foundry along with HK-59 and HK-63 as part of a new line of advanced combat droids by HK-47 and Jedi Master Revan. The three newly created droids were assigned to the HK squad alongside the reconstructed HK-55. Following the events on Prakith he joined the 415th Exploratory Corps and continued to work with them until the destruction of the Will of the Force at the hands of Cinder, after which he and the rest of HK squad served Grand Admiral Thrawn, participating in several covert missions and joining the Key Team formed by Axis. He would later leave the GAR to become a part of HK-47's mercenary group called Crusader Defence.

Weaknesses: North heavily underestimates himself and overestimates his opponents, and as such, essentially takes no risks in combat. Likely to overthink his next move, misdirection will play with his senses, with an all out assault making North believe an opponent is far stronger than they actually are; possibly causing the droid to back off entirely. Hardly valuing his own life, one could manipulate North into sacrificing himself in a false combat scenario that is given the illusion of the need of self sacrifice. Far worse at close range, melee or sabre combat is likely to pick North apart even further. North enjoys looting after battles, and as such, he will attempt to mitigate damage in order to preserve items and other such things. This means North will never use destructive methods as much as he should, something that can be exploited by a mindful combatant.
