Name: Mandalorian Bladesman

Rank: Mandalorian

Tier: Middle 3

Background: Mandalorian Bladesmen, otherwise known as Kadredal’e in the Mandalorian Tongue (Literally Sabre Dancers) were Mandalorians who opted to train largely in swords and close quarters combat, rather than largely in blasters. This is a holdover of the Taung’s expansions on Mandalore, where they had to drop the use of more advanced weaponry in favour of bladed weapons such as swords and harpoons during their initial conquering of Mandalore from the Megafauna that lived on it.

Training in Swords, Daggers and the like, Bladesmen used Beskar’s unique properties to their advantage, cleaving through armours made of lesser metals such as Durasteel with relative ease, and due to higher grade Beskar being able to pierce lower grade Beskar alloys, they proved effective in combating other Mandalorians.

Bladesmen however, saw decreased usage on the battlefield with the popularisation of the Grenadier, which serve a similar purpose whilst being far less risky. Nowadays, however, Bladesmen use both swords and shotguns in tandem to wreak havoc at enemy flanks, or use Jetpacks to get the drop on other Mandalorians who grew too complacent on using Pineal Eye technology.

Speed: +2 levels to Combat Speed

Abilities:

Perk: You're growing more based by the day...

Equipment: Proficient in Flamethrowers and Wrist Rocket Launchers; Blaster Shotgun; WESTAR-35 Blaster Pistol; Beskad; Kal Dagger; Mandalorian Beskar Armour; Supercommando Jetpack; Utility Belt & Pouches with: Medical Supplies, Power Packs, Ration Capsules, and 2 V-1 Thermal Detonators.

Weaknesses: Cocky and arrogant fighters. Easily led into a trap where they believe they can succeed in a fight. Always try to best the strongest opponent around.

Mandalorian Bladesmen almost entirely fight at close range, utilising a combination of daggers, swords, and shotguns to cause as much damage as possible. They are required to stay light on their feet and ready to improvise during combat scenarios, typically adopting lighter armour sets to accommodate that style. This makes them more vulnerable to conventional arms fire, but also to explosives, which will deal massive damage. If one remains aware of their surroundings during combat, they will likely be able to catch a Bladesman attempting to flank them, and act against the Mandalorian at range.
